The Outlawz Sketch Challenge March 30

It's Wednesday again.  Time to check out the new sketch challenge at The Outlawz.  Our sponsor for this month has been Aurora Wings.  The image I used is called "Hibiscus Spirit."  I intended to cut the image with a little white border using my Cameo.  For some reason, the Cameo wanted to just outline a rectangle, not the image, so I had to fussy cut it by hand.  Not an easy task with my current eye problem.

Happy Birthday

Morning Peeps!  Welcome to my first entry in the brand new challenge blog -- A Beautiful Mess.  This site is just starting up.  Hop on over and join in the fun. It is always Anything Goes and will be open for a month.  New challenges will be posted on the last Friday of the month.  Our sponsor for this first challenge is Sassy Studio.  I have used Buttercream Babe-Garden Party.

I printed and cut the image using my Cameo.  I then colored it with Copic markers and used Wink of Stella glitter pens on the deep pink flowers and the handle of the umbrella,  I used Nuvo Crystal Drops on the tassels of the umbrella and for the three green dots.  I love the Nuvo Crystal Drops because you can make the dots any size you want.  I made the bow out of a scrap of ribbon that was not big enough to do anything else with.  Because the printed paper had gold foil stars in it (hard to see in the photo), I used the gold ink to sponge the edges.  I also added Glossy Accents to the bow to make it stand out more.

Easter

Just playing today.  I looked at Paper Playful to see what Easter challenges were available because I wanted to use this 2 Cute Ink image.  I am a member of the digital club at 2 Cute Ink and this was one of the new images for this month. The sentiment was a freebie.

I used my Cameo to cut the square center step card using Co'redinations cardstock and a sheet of printed Easter paper from my stash (maker unknown).  Again, using the Cameo, I printed and cut the image and sentimnent.  I colored both with Copic markers and Wink of Stella Glitter Pens.  The lace is Recollections.  I used Tonic Nuvo Crystal Drops to make the purple pearls, the spots on the egg and the center of the flower in the sentiment.  I added Glossy Accents to the bow tie and his nose.  I popped the image on the card with foam tape.

Celebrating National Agricultural Day

I decided to enter the Outlawz Festive Fridays challenge this week just for fun.  I used a Dearie Dolls pre-colored image for my card.  The background cardstock papers are from DCWV and American Crafts.  The bow was in my winnings from a DT game.  The bling is from Want2Scrap, colored with Copics.  I used a die from Little B.  I popped the circle die cut with foam tape and then popped the image on top of the circle.

The Outlawz Sketch Challenge March 2

Morning Peeps.  A new month means a new sponsor at The Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge.  This month our sponsor is Aurora Wings.  Check out the fantastic designs there after you leave me a comment.  For my first card this month, I've used Violet Sprite.  However, yellow seemed to be calling my name to color this card.  I had several large scraps of Basic Grey paper that I decided to cut into 6x6 inch squares.  The background is one of those squares.  The green cardbase, leaves and oval are Core'dinations cardstock.  Of course, I used my Cameo to print and cut the image and then colored it with Copic markers.  I used foam tape to pop her up.  The flower was one I made using a  baby wipe that I had used to clean up some color off my mat.  The dots are Nuvo Crystal Drops.

I turned the sketch a quarter turn to the right.

Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge for March

Morning Peeps!  Or should I say "Top of the Morning?"    This is my first card for March.  This month, we have both St. Patrick's Day and Easter.  I don't usually do St. Patrick's Day cards, but I had this patterned paper as part of a collection.  I decided to use it as my DT card for Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper challenge.

I used a 5.5 inch card base made from Bazzill cardstock.    It has a little bit of texture to it, but it doesn't show in the picture.  The patterned paper is from a DCWV stack of "Everyday" paper.  The image is from Deedee's Digis.  Unfortunately, it is no longer available since she closed her shop at the end of last year.  I printed and cut the image and sentiment using my Cameo and added Glossy Accents (clovers and ribbon) and Crackle Accents (snail shell) to give it some sheen.  I used foam tape to pop it.   I also cut the shamrocks with the Cameo and added some Eucalyptus Stickles to make them sparkle.  I popped them with foam tape, too.  The ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I used  Woodland Green Nuvo Crystal drops to the corners.
