Curftain fold

I saw a card made like this online here the other day.  I decided to give it a try and it was really simple to make.  I made this very simple one just to see how difficult it would be to make.  She gives perfectly understandable directions on her blog.  This video shows a Christmas Tree Curtain Fold, but she has others on her blog.  I turned it 180 degrees to make my card.

A baby card for the birth of my newest great grandchild.  Ethan makes number 6.  It is a pop up box card designed by Lori Whitlock.  It is available on her blog and in the Silhouette store.  I will probably get a few more different designs because I like how it combines the pop up with the box card.  It was fun to make once I found the directions on Lori's blog.    Even with the instructions, I managed to get the teddy and rattle mixed up as to their positions.

Merry Christmas

I belong to a Red Hat group.  We don't buy gifts for each other, but simply exchange cards on birthdays and Christmas.  I used a sketch from my friend Pam.  You can find it here,  I decided to use up the papers that were left in a few Recollections Christmas paper 6x6 pads that I've had for what seems like forever. Each of the 18 cards will be the same sketch, just a little different paper.  I fell in love with this sketch when I first saw it.  The sentiment is from a collection that I've had for awhile and no longer have the maker's information.  The stamp is one of my favorite ones to use for Christmas cards.  I stamped it with Ranger's Jet Black Archival ink.

I plan to enter this into the following challenges:

The Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge 7/6

Hi Peeps!  It's getting closer to the time my corneas will finally be healed enough to get my glasses. I can't wait.  It's already been two months since the first surgery and one since the second.  If the prognosis is correct, that means only two more months before I can once again get glasses and be able to see clearly. It can't come soon enough.

It's Wednesday and time for the Sketch Challenge at The Outlawz.  Our wonderful sponsor for this month is Sami Stamps.  This cute image is called Miss Ribbons Chick.  I liked the sketch because it lent itself to lots of layers.  I used Stampin' Up cardstock and embossed the top layer with a Tim Holtz alterations folder.  The flower is one I made with a baby wipe.  Ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  The pearls are by Want2Scrap. I printed and cut the image with my Cameo and colored it with Copic markers.  I popped the image with foam tape to add even more dimension.

CraftyHazelnut's July Patterned Paper Challenge

It's so hard to believe that the year is half over already.  Where did the time go?  Well, it's time for the July challenge at CraftyHazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge.

For my card, I used an image and sentiment from  DeeDee's Digis.  The image is pre-colored from Ice Cream Social.  The sentiment is from Ice Cream Truck.  The patterned paper is from DCWV Everyday Stack.  Cardstock is from scraps from my stash.  Bling is Want2Scrap.  I used foam tape to pop the image.
