Happy Easter

Thinking ahead to Easter.

I used Distress Inks to sponge the 4 1/8" x 5 3/8 inch piece of cardstock.  Then I splashed water on it to make the water spots.

Sad to say, this is my last card as a design team member for Tuesday Throwdown,  My poor old eyes are just not as good as they used to be to do the fine work needed to color images.  I will still be around in blogland.

I have found a new love.  It's called book folding.  My friend, Rozy, got me started on it.  I am loving it.  So far I have done three virtues, "Faith", "Hope," and "Love."  I can't wait to do more.  This one is for a friend.  I got the instructions on how to fold the pages to make words from Create & Craft.  The books are by Debbie Moore.

The Outlawz Sketch Challenge Feb. 10

I loved this sketch for The Outlawz Sketch challenge for this week.  It was easy to use.  I love lots of layers.  Our sponsor for this month is DigiStamps4Joy.  The image I used is called "Vase of Hearts."

I used Copic markers to color the vase and stems.  The hearts are done with Stickles.  The bow on the vase is colored with Copics and then covered with Wink of Stella clear glitter pen.  The red cardstock and the flowers are from Recollections.  The printed paper is from DCWV 6x6 Everyday paper pack.  I cut the red swirls with DCWV red foil cardstock.  The image is popped with foam tape.

Another Valentine Gift Bag

I used a plain gift bag from Michael's.  The image is one I saved on my computer a long time ago.  It is Heart Key Girl from Kadoodle Bug Designs.  All the cardstock is from my scraps pile.  The bling is from Want2Scrap.

Valentine Bag

A bag for my daughter's Valentine gift.  I used a gift bag from Michael's.  The hearts were cut with my Cameo.  The Dimensional Stickers are Bo Bunny from a long time ago.  I cut the butterfly with a Martha Stewart butterfly punch.  Bling on butterfly is from Want2Scrap.

Tuesday Throwdown #280

Easter seems to be very early this year.  I'm not really ready.  It seems like we just finished Christmas.  It's time for the new challenge at Tuesday Throwdown.  This time, it's a sketch challenge.   One of the choices the Design Team had was this cute bunny by Stamplorations.  It worked well with the sketch.

I designed the entire card using my Cameo.  All the pieces were cut with the Cameo.  The cardstock is Recollections.  The printed paper is DCWV Everyday 6x6 paper stack.  The bunny is colored with Copic markers with Stickles added to the shell.  The three dots are Tonic Nuvo Crystal Drops.

"Love Bugs"

This adorable image is from 2CuteInk.  I belong to the monthly 2 Cute Ink Digi Club.  It's only $5 a month and you get five digis plus a digi that is exclusive to the club.  Check it out.  Heidi draws some really cute digis.

For this card, I printed and cut the image using my Cameo.  Then I colored it with Copic markers, added some Glossy Accents to their wings and black Liquid pearls to the spots. On their heads and bellies, I added clear Wink of Stella glitter pen. The solid pink paper is from Recollections and the printed paper was a scrap in my stash.  The hearts are vellum stickers that I have had in my stash for way too long.

A Step in the Right Direction

This month for the Patterned Paper Challenge at CraftyHazelnut's  site, I chose to do an inside step card.  I found the file in the Silhouette Store.  I have seen this card several times and thought it looked like too much work to even try.  So, I decided to bite the bullet and climb out of my box for this one.  I was surprised when I got it all cut out.  It couldn't have been easier to  build.
