This digi is from a set called Birdies Snow Day.  It is a cute set and includes three digi papers.  There is another birdie image too.  The collection comes with precolored digis, outline digis for you to use your own colors and sentiments.   Unfortunately, this is the last card for Deedee's.  Due to illness in the family, she is forced to close down the shop as of December 31.   Hurry on over to her shop and get some of these adorable digis before she closes up.

This image came with digi paper, but  I didn't use the included paper on my card.  I had this wood grain paper that sort of matches the birdhouse, so I decided to use it.

Gift Card Holder

I decided to give a couple people on my list gift cards this year.  Just putting one in a card didn't seem like a very good idea.  Neither did wrapping it up in a package or gift bag suit me.  I found a gift card die from Sizzix and that was the answer to my dilemma.  I made four of these for different people.  I liked this one best.  It was quite easy to do.

Angels Among Us

Morning Peeps.  This is a card I created using Deedee's Digis Angels Among Us stamp set.  When I created it, it was for no special purpose other than having one more Christmas card to use.  I've decided to enter it into a couple challenges.

I used some old materials from my stash and the new die cut and image.  My LSS has started their own line of dies.  I purchased the I Believe set and used it for this card.  I wanted to see if I could cut foam with a wafer thin die.  It was a tough fight, but I finally won.  A couple shims and several passes in the Big Shot and it was accomplished.  I colored the leaves with glitter pen because I thought it needed something else.  The gold oval is also colored with a glitter pen.

DCWV Foil paper

The Outlawz Sketch Challenge December 2

Morning Peeps.  It's Wednesday again and time for a new sketch at The Outlawz Sketch Challenge with our wonderful sponsor for this month, Bugaboo Stamps.  There are so many cute digis over there plus every Friday, there is a freebie.  Check it out.

I made a boo-boo on this one but it will have to stay the way it is.  I intended to use Crackle Accents on the ivy embellishments, but since it is in the same kind of bottle as Glossy Accents and I didn't bother to look at the label, Glossy Accents won out.

Tuesday Throwdown #272 for 12/1

Today's theme at Tuesday Throwdown is Cute and Cuddly.  Our sponsor for this challenge is My Grafico Digital Stamps.

For my card, I used two of the images from the Cool Penguins set.  .  I wanted to make sure it looked cold, so I used pale blue and white cardstock and paper.  I used my Cameo to print and cut the images.  I colored the penguin with Wink of Stella Glitter Pens and the ice with Copic B0000. A little Diamond Stickles added a glittery feeling to the snowflake.  The ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I finally figured out how to make a decent looking bow using my Zutter Bow-It-All.

December Patterned Paper

Jumping the gun a little here.  I have my Christmas cards done so I thought I would do one for New Year's.  I have had a Zutter Bow-It-All for well over a year and have never been able to figure out how to make a decent bow with it.  This week, I decided to play until I was able to get something I was satisfied with.  I used this piece of fuschia ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon and practiced with it until I got a fairly good  bow.

I am so sorry to say that Deedee has announced that she is closing her shop as of the end of December due to family issues.  I, for one, will sorely miss her fabulous digi sets and wish her the best of luck.
