Trimming the Tree

The little guys are having a great time juggling ornaments to put on the tree.  I used a piece of white canvas for the die cut layer and embossed it with a snowflake folder.  The image is from House Mouse and colored with Copic markers and Wink of Stella glitter pens.  The snowflakes were cut on my Cameo.  The lace is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

The Outlawz Progressive Challenge for October

It's time for the October progressive challenge at The Outlawz.  I fell in love with this adorable image from Gerda Steiner when I saw it.  I knew I had to do something with it and soon.  I knew I wanted to make an easel card.  So I got out my larger Spellbinders dies.  The card when closed measures roughly 4 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches.  I only used plain cardstock because I wanted to highlight this little guy pulling his pumpkins home for carving for  what: Halloween?  pies for Thanksgiving?

Materials used:
American Craft cardstock
Really Reasonable Ribbon - ribbons
Recollections metallic autumn leaves
Copic Markers
Silhouette Cameo to print and cut image

Sunday, October 11, 2015

I joined the 2 Cute Ink stamp club.  For $5 a month, you get several free images and a place to put your images for others to comment.  This is the first image I used for the month of October.   Actually, it is two images; the scarecrow is one and the cat and pumpkin another.  I decided to think out of my box and make a tag instead of a card.  I am happy with the way it turned out.

Materials Used:
Orange American Craft cardstock
Brown Stampin Up cardstock
White Neenah Solar White Cardstock
Bo Bunny 6x6 Apple Cider Collection designer paper
Recollections ribbon
Copic markers
Foam tape to pop the pumpkin and kitty

I printed and cut the images and word using my Silhouette Cameo.  Then just layered everything together to make the tag.  It couldn't have been easier.  I will enter this card into several challenges and also place it in the 2 Cute Ink folder.

Peace, Love, Joy

This card is for CraftyHazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge for October.  It is a little larger than I usually make, 6x6, but I wanted to use the Anna Griffin 6x6 paper with the gold border.  The green patterned paper is also Anna Griffin.  I used a new line of dies for this card.  The line is Simply Refined by Scrapbooking Made Simple. There are four sets of dies in this limited collection.  I purchased them all.  The dies are interchangeable so I mixed them up for my card.  I used dies from three of the sets.  The gold is from Spellbinders Precious Metals.  I bought them about three years ago and never even opened them until I made this card.   The stamp is part of the sets of dies.  Because the gold was metallic, I used black Stazon ink to stamp it.  For the green die cut, I used DCWV foil.
