Tuesday Throwdown #245 - Missing You

Morning Tuesday morning, Peeps.  It's Tuesday Throwdown time again.  Our sponsor for this challenge is Fred She Said and the theme is "Missing You."  For my card, I chose to use "Hibiscus."  I have been wanting to make a  half circle card for some time so I figured there is no time like the present.  I cut the base with Stampin' Up cardstock, using my cameo.  I also used the print and cut feature to print and cut the images.  I added some bling from Want2Scrap on the scallops.  It actually turned out to be easier than I thought to make the card.  I used a pre-colored image from the Hibiscus file.  The sentiment is from Verve Stamps.

The Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge May 20

Morning Peeps.  Wednesday means sketch challenge at The Outlawz.  I love to use sketches in making my cards.  I don't always stick to the sketch, but I start with it as my inspiration.  The sponsor this month is Deedee's Digis.  I have used an image from the Oh Hoppy Day collection for my card.  It includes sentiments for new baby, birthday, Christmas and everything.  Check out the store if you haven't already.

The sketch:
My card:

As you can see, I flipped the sketch horizontally.  I wanted Momma Kangaroo looking into the card, not out of it.   I used Bazzill textured cardstock for the base and the square behind the image. The designer paper is Echo Park 6x6 Bundle of Joy.  The buttons are from American Crafts and the ribbon is Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I cut the shape behind the Kangaroo with my Cameo.  I also used the Cameo to print and cut the pre-colored image.

Deedee's Digis May Progressive Challenge

It's May and time for the progressive challenge at Deedee's Digis.  The digi set she provided for this challenge is called "Dad Get a Day Off."  I'm getting a jump on Father's Day, but this could even be a birthday card for a guy.  I used the pre-colored images and printed them and cut them with my Cameo.  I popped the dog and slipper with foam tape.  The bling is from Want2Scrap and I colored it with Copics to make it look more masculine.  The cardstock is from Recollections.

The Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge May 6

Hi Peeps!  It's the beginning of May and time for a new sketch challenge at The Outlawz.  It's also the month when Trina's baby boy is due.  This month, the DT cards will be in keeping with a new baby.  Our gracious sponsor is Deedee's Digis who has supplied us with the cutest baby images.  I've said it before and I'll say it again - I love Deedee's Digis."  For my card this week, I'm using "Chance of Showers."

I used Echo Park Bundle of Joy cardstock for my card and added a little Stampin' Up, American Crafts  and Recollections cardstock.  As usual, I printed and cut the images and sentiment with my Cameo.  The image was already precolored, so I didn't have to do it.  I cut the edging for the gold strips with a Fiskars punch.

Triple Easel

This is my first attempt at a triple easel card.  I have been wanting to do one for a long time.  After doing this one, it might be a long time before I do another one.  It looked hard.  It was not super hard to do, but I had problems understanding some of the directions.  After cutting the cardstock, I realized I misunderstood the directions and had to cut it again.  Then I had problems where to place the pieces.  After awhile, it finally came together.  I really do need to do another one soon so that I get my confidence back.  I saw a post on Heartfelt Creations the other day with this technique and remembered that I had printed out directions from Splitcoast Stampers a year or so ago.  My friend, Rozy, got me to do it finally.  I'm not 100% satisfied with it, but at least I did it.

I used Recollections pink cardstock and Basic Grey Sugared designer paper.  I cut the card shapes and the leaves with Spellbinder Dies.  The green cardstock was from my stash and I don't know who the maker is.  It is bright green on one side and metallic on the other side.  I used the metallic side for my die cuts.  The flowers are from Prima. The sentiment is from Technique Tuesday.

12 Months of Christmas Link Up Challenge #5

Moring peeps.  While Christmas is still over 7 month away, it's not too soon to start planning those cards to avoid the last minute rush.  Over at The 12 Month of Christmas Link Up, it's time for another challenge.  The theme for this one is Christmas Critters.  Our fabulous sponsor for this month is Deedee's Digis.  Hop on over there and pick up some of her great collections.  You get more bang for you buck when you get her images.

Cute penguins, fluffy bears, and raucous reindeer, oh my!  Christmas is such a fun time of year.  Even the animals around us get in on the act--with a little help from us of course. This month's challenge is all about the furry critters that entertain us during the holidays.
In order to have a chance to win the prize from our wonderful guest sponsor this month, make sure that your card showcases an animal suitable for a holiday card.  It can be in your image, your paper or even your embellishments.  If you do follow the optional theme, be sure to add FT after your name so that we include you in the draw for the prize.

Remember, you don't need to follow the theme to link up your cards and earn a free paper each month, and have your name thrown into the year end draw for some extra digital goodies.  You only need to follow the theme if you want a chance to win this month's sponsored prize of a $25.00 gift card from Deedee's Digis.

My image and sentiment are from Deedee's Digi collection called Peace on Earth.  You can find it and many others in her store here.
Again, I used the 5.5 x 5.5 square step card for my creation.  I  am in love with this fold and there is still plenty of room inside for a greeting.  I cut the card base, the design paper and the image using my Cameo.  I also used the print and cut to print the image first.    The sentiment is printed on my printer, but is from the Peace of Earth collection.
Materials used:

Sentiment from Peace on Earth from Deedee's Digis
