Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 237

Morning Peeps.  It's Tuesday and time for another challenge at Tuesday Throwdown.  The theme this time is to make a Shaker Card.  This is only the second time I have tried this and I must say it worked much better than the first time.  Our sponsor for this challenge is Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps.  They have some of the cutest stamps, both digi and clear.  Why not check them out.

For my card, I used "Donut Cocoa".  I used the print and cut feature on my Cameo to cut him out and then colored him with Copics.  (The frosting color is more vivid in real life than it is in the photo.)  I punched the doodads in the shaker box with a single 1/4" punch.  The butterfly was cut with a Martha Stewart punch.  The dp is from a 6x6 paper pad from Echo Park called "Country Drive."  The sentiment is also from SNS and was punched with a Stampin' Up punch.  The bling on the butterfly is from Want2Scrap.

God is My Pilot

The sentiment on my card today is very appropriate.  I'm leaving the next few months up to Him completely and see where I land.  I am leaving the DS4J design team and all but two of the other teams I design for.  One of them will go at the end of April and the other at the end of June when my time is up on the DTs.   I am going to concentrate on my health and make cards only when I feel up to it.  This past seven months have taken a toll on my health and I need to get myself back in shape.  Oh, I'm not leaving card making totally.  I will still put in a card or two into the daily challenges on Feline Playful when I can.

So, with that in mind, here is my card for the Sunday Release over at DigiStamps4Joy.  I used Pilot Ted and the God is My Pilot sentiment.  You can find both of them in the DS4J store here.

I used my Cameo to print and cut the image and the shadow.  I colored Ted using Copics and a gold wink of Stella pen.  The bling is from Want2Scrap and is colored with the same Copic marker as the dark color in his jacket.  The paper is from a 6x6 pad from Carta Bella "Traditions."

Tuesday Throwdown #235 Good Luck

Morning Peeps.  It's time for the new challenge at Tuesday Throwdown.  Our sponsor for this challenge is The Paper Shelter.  I love the files they have at TPS.  There are images, both pre-colored and blank and background papers.

Having a basket full of stars seems to be good luck.  That's why I chose this particular image to use. It was already pre-colored so it was an easy task to make a background and get a sentiment.  The big die cut is a Silhouette file, as is the sentiment die cut.  The sentiment was printed using my word processing program and cut with a Silhouette die.

The Crafter's Cafe 3/4

Morning Peeps.  Hop on over to The Crafter's Café for the new challenge being sponsored by Lacey Sunshine.  The challenge for this time is to Use a Charm.

I chose to use "Pickles Love Cupcake" for my card.  As you can see, Pickles is a frog.  Of course, I colored the image with Copics.  I used the square center step file from the Cameo for the base.  It folds up to 5.5" square.  The cardbase is by Stampin' Up.  The dp is from DCWV 6x6 pad called "Girl."  The bling is all from Michaels.   I am fortunate (unfortunate?) to live walking distance from a Michaels so I do a lot of my shopping there.  The charm is by Bead Landing.  I cut the sentiment tag with a Spellbnders die and used a My Favorite Things sentiment.

Challenges: Lots of Folds Add a sentiment Girly Birthday

Birthday Girl

Snow Kisses

Morning Peeps.  It's challenge time at the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up.  Our wonderful sponsor for this month is Scribbles Designs.  I chose to use this cute Snow Kisses image for my card.

The snow may be melting, but there are still signs of winter. Soon Spring will be upon us. Let's capture winter this month by including a little snow on our cards. So for a chance to win extra prizes, Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow all over your cards!

In order to have a chance to win the prize from our wonderful guest sponsor this month, make sure that snow is represented in some form or manner on your card.  If you do follow the optional theme, be sure to add FT after your name so that we include you in the draw for the prize.

Remember, you don't need to follow the theme to link up your cards and earn this month's free digital paper, and have your name thrown into the year end draw for some extra digital goodies.  You only need to follow the theme if you want a chance to win this month's sponsored prize of a $10.00 gift certificate from our sponsor for this month, Scribbles Designs.

Here is my card for the March challenge at 12 Months of Christmas Link Up.  I chose to use Snow Kisses for my image.  As usual, I printed and cut the image and shadow layer using my Cameo and colored the image with Copics.

DS4J #110 - Embossing

Time for another challenge at DigiStamps4Joy.  I am hosting the challenge this month.  My theme is "Embossing, wet or dry with red as the main color."  I chose to use Margy's Rag Doll image.  You can find the image in the store here.

I used a Die'sire embossing folder called "Floral Frenzy" and rubbed Festive Berries distress ink on it and then embossed the white die cut which I had cut with the Cameo.  I also used the print and cut feature on the Cameo to cut the image.  I also used a Sizzix embossing folder for the red die cut (also cut on my Cameo).  I colored the image with Copic markers and popped it with foam tape.  The flower was in my stash and I have no idea who makes it.  I added some Want2Scrap pearl bling to the flower centers.
