Puppy Present

Morning Peeps.  I can't believe how fast this year is sailing by.  It is almost the end of February.  The sketch challenge over at the Outlaws this week is sponsored by The Stamping Boutique.   I chose to use this adorable puppy image.

I used Recollections dp from a 8 1/2 x 11 paper pad called Bold Basics.  The black cardstock is also Recollections.  The other cardstock is from American Crafts Tropicals collection.  I colored the image with Copics.  The puppy prints are from a swap that I did about 10 years ago and have been in my collection ever since.  I think they are die cuts from an old small yellow Sizzix die.

Morning Peeps!  It's Tuesday so that means that there is a new challenge up over at Tuesday Throwdown.  It's an easy one this week - Anything Goes.  Our sponsor for this challenge is Oak Pond.  I used Laundry Day for my image.  You can find it in the shop here.  The image reminded me of something a little boy might do for fun on laundry day.  So, I decided to make it a card for a boy.  I used burlap, buttons and twine instead of ribbon and bling.    I colored him with copics.  The card base is from American Crafts.

Missing You

I had some of this patterned paper left over from another card I made so I decided to use it on another card.  I had also printed and colored two of the images, so here is another card with the same paper and images.  I added the missing you sentiment and will put this card in my box to go to OWH.

The Outlawz 2/18

One more challenge at Wednesday sketch challenge at The Outlawz. We continue with this month's sponsor - The Stamping Boutique. I chose to use "Love Birds" as my image.  I took a little liberty with the sketch and only did an offset for my image instead of another die cut.

One Layer Card

Morning Peeps.  I'm posting this a little early because I have two back to back doctor appointments in the morning and a luncheon at 1.  No time for computer in the morning.  The challenge at The Crafter's Café this month is sponsored by Rick St. Dennis.  The theme is "One Layer - Use Red."  This was probably the most difficult card I have had to do in a long time. One layer cards are not my forte.  I don't really consider it one layer because I used the die layer and then added the image, but it is as close as I can come to one layer.  The image is called "Cindy" and was printed and cut with my Cameo.  I colored her with Copic markers.  The die I used for the red die cut is from Our Daily Bread Designs.

DS4J #109 - Mid-February Challenge

Morning Peeps.  It's time for the mid-month posting for the monthly challenge at DigiStamps4Joy.  Make sure you go over there and see what Team B has made for this midway challenge.  Julie is our host DT for this challenge.  She  has chosen Valentine/Love for her theme.  My image is "Springtime" and you can find it in the store here.  I figured it represents all the flowers that special guy is going to give you for Valentine's Day.

My card is 5.5 in. square.  The red layer is Recollections cardstock and is embossed with a E-Bosser folder.  The embossing, unfortunately, does not show up too well on the picture.  The pink heart is Core'dinations paper and is pre-embossed with circles.  The white heart is a doily from Celebrate It! from Michael's.  I printed and cut the image with my Cameo and colored it with Copic markers.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid.  I cut the sentiment panel with a Stampin' Up die and stamped it with a Hero Arts sentiment.  The green leafy die cut is one I have had in my stash for awhile.  I cut it with a friend's die at a weekend scrap and don't remember who the maker is.

The Outlawz Challenge Feb.11

Morning Peeps!  Happy two days before Valentine's Day.  It's time for the Wednesday sketch challenge at The Outlawz.  This month, our sponsor is The Stamping Boutique.

The Sketch:
My Interpretation:

I made a Valentine card using Red Recollections cardstock as the base and the three strips.  I pulled a piece of  heart paper from my scraps.  The pink is from Stampin Up and cut with a Spellbinders die.  The cardstock for the bow is from my stash and is dark red on one side and a lighter red on the other.  I used "Hidden Fairy" as my image and printed and cut it on the Cameo.  Then I colored it with Copics.  The flowers are Recollections and the rhinestone centers, as well as the one on the bow, are from Want2Scrap.

I Love You Like Flowers Love Rain

Morning Peeps.  There is a new challenge at Tuesday Throwdown.  It's getting closer and closer to Valentine's Day and the weather here has been a little rainy.  This image from Sami Stamps is perfect for both love and rainy weather.  It's called "With You."

TLC had a freebie rainy weather paper on Sunday the 8th, just in time for me to get my card made and scheduled.  Both the image and the sentiment are from Sami Stamps.  I colored the image with Copic markers.  The black cardstock is from Recollections.

Watering Can

Morning Peeps!  It's time for the progressive challenge at The Outlawz. Sandi was kind enough to let us use one of her digis for this challenge.  If you haven't already joined the challenge, now is the time.

I used OWH sketch #169 as my inspiration for this challenge.  I had to flip the sketch horizontally.  At first, I cut the image, colored it and adhered it to the card.  I didn't like the way it looked and thought I would redo it and flip the image.  That sounded like a lot of work because I would have had to resize the image, print it and cut it.  I had taken the image off the card when it struck me that all I had to do was put the circle on the right side and then the watering can would look okay.  And would be a lot less work not to mention less time consuming.  I like the looks of it much better than my first attempt.

The Outlawz Sketch Challenge 2/4

Hi Peeps!  I am running a little behind already this month.  I almost forgot to post this challenge entry.  This is a new month and over at The Outlawz Sketch Challenge, there are some really great sketches this month.  Be sure to check them out each Wednessday morning and then join us for some crafting fun.  Our sponsor for February is The Stamping Boutique.  While you are checking out the sketch challenge for this week, why not look at the other challenges offered.  The Outlawz has a different challenge for every day of the week plus the monthly Progressive Challenge.

I chose to use Flower Card for my card.  I printed it on the Cameo, cut it with a Spellbinders die and colored it with Copics.  The shadow layer is from another die in the same Spellbinders set.  The cardstock is from KaiserCraft 6.5 in. Violet Crush paper pad.  The black die cut is from the same paper set.  I added rhinestones from Want2Scrap to the centers and to the centers of the flowers.  The flowers are from my stash and I have no idea who makes them.  The ribbon is from Hero Arts.  No idea where the brad came from.

Challenges: turquoise, purple, gray AG clear stash - flowers, ribbon, brad are all several years old include a heart (on brad) purple

The Crafter's Cafe - Feb. 4

It's DT Alex' birthday this month, so we are celebrating with a birthday theme at The Crafter's Cafe.  Our sponsor is A Day for Daisies.  I used Strawberry Birthday Cake and colored it with Copic markers.  The background is cut with my Silhouette Cameo.  I also print and cut the image with the Cameo.  The flowers are from my stash and are so old that I no longer know who the maker is.  Birthday die cut is a Stampin Up die.  Pearl from Want2Scrap and colored with Copic marker.
