Sunday Release at DSJ

A good Sunday morning to all my Peeps.  There is a new release of images over at DigiStamps4Joy.  Check out the online store to see all the newest images available.

What little girl didn't have a rag doll.  I know I did when I was growing up in the stone age.  I remember she had a purple and white striped dress.  I thought I would make my card this week and dedicate it to my rag doll.

I colored her with Copics.  Her heart was colored with Wink of Stella red glitter pen.  The background is a Silhouette file.  Flowers are Prima and bling is Want2Scrap.

Morning Peeps!  These weeks are flying by way too fast.  I can't believe that it is only 23 days till Christmas.  It's time to prepare for saying thank you for all those gifts you will be getting.  The Crafter's CafĂ© challenge blog has the theme of "Thank You" for this week.   I used "Say What Snowman" from our sponsor Oak Pond Creations.  I added a thank you sentiment to the banner he is holding.  There is also a second sponsor this week, Sassy Studio Designs.  Why not hop over and check out both sponsors.

Materials used:
SU cardstock
Neenah Solar White cardstock

The Outlawz Sketch Challenge 11-26

Morning Peeps.  Tomorrow is Thanksgiving in the U.S.  Hope you all have a very happy day with lots of food, family and fellowship.  Once again, it's time for the Wednesday sketch challenge at The Outlawz.   While you are waiting for the turkey to be done, why not just create a card for this challenge.  This is the final week for our sponsor for this month, Deedee's Digis.  Hope you have had a chance to check out the great digis at that site.  The one I chose for this week is from "Happy Owlidays."  It is a precolored image.  This is what you get in the set.  Check it out.

This is the sketch to be used this week:

And the card I made with it:
I used the pre-colored image from the collection and printed and cut it on my Cameo.  The dp are from various 6x6 paper pads I have collected over the years.  The ribbon is from Celebrate It (Michael's brand).  The snowflake is the last of the glittered snowflakes from a package I bought a couple years ago.

I printed the sunburst and the sentiment and cut them with my Cameo.  I also cut the grass with the Cameo.  I colored the sun with Copic markers.    The dp is from Bo Bunny Apple Cider Collection 6x6 pad.

The Outlawz Sketch Nov. 19

Hi Peeps.  It's time for another challenge at The Outlawz Sketch challenge.  Our sponsor this month continues to be Deedee's Digis.  If you still haven't done so, hop on over to the site and look at the fantastic sets of digi stamps available there.  For my card this week, I chose to use "Rose Regards."  I've made enough Christmas cards so I thought I would make a get well card this week.

I used a precolored image and flipped it horizontally.  The papers/cardstock are all from Recollections.  Flowers are Prima and the sentiment is from Sweet 'N Sassy.  Bling is from Want2scrap.  I cut the banner on my Cameo and the sentiment tag is from Spellbinders.

Santa's Letter

Hi Peeps.  It is getting to be that time of year again when we have to prepare for the holiday.  What better way to start preparing than to dash off that letter to Santa.    Berni at DigiStamps4Joy has chosen the theme for this challenge.  She chose Preparing for the Holidays/Fall as the theme.  This is midway through the challenge so hop on over to the blog to see some inspiration from the design teams and some who have already entered the challenge.  Then skip to the store and pick up some great holiday images.  I picked "Santa's Letter"  for my card.

My card is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches square.  I used cardstock from Recollections Collection.  The ribbon also came from Michaels.  Of course, I used the print and cut feature on my Cameo to cut the image.  I then colored it with Copic markers.  It's a little hard to see in the picture, but the snow on the mailbox and fence posts is Pearl Pen Ice White.  The base of the globe is covered with Glossy Accents.  The bling snowflakes are from Want2Scrap.

Christmas Tag

Hi Peeps.  It's Tuesday morning and time for a new challenge at Tuesday Throwdown.  This one was a lot of fun.  The theme is to make a Christmas Tag.  I used two cute digis from our sponsor, MyGrafico.  I used "Santa Sleigh" and "Reindeer 02."

I pulled a partial sheet of Christmas paper from my scrap stash and cut a tag with my Cameo.  Then I sponged a little Lipstick Red Distress Ink over it to tone it down a little.  I merged and cut the images with my Cameo and then colored them with Copic Markers.  I added a little Pearl Pen Ice White to Santa's Beard and cuffs.  For the reins, I used a piece of WRMK twine.  I cut the background with my Cameo and sponged it also.  I then added gold leaf pen to the edges.  The glittered snowflake and ribbon are from Michaels.  I used pop dots to raise the image off the tag.

Sunday Release

Morning Peeps.  It's Sunday and time for the Sunday Release at DigiStamps4Joy.  There are some really cute new images this week along with some serious ones.  My card this week is a mixture of whimsy and reality.  For my image, I chose to use the new image called "First Snow."  It's just a background image so you can add other images or sentiments as you desire.  I chose to merge the "First Christmas" image with it.  I merged the images in my Cameo then printed it out and colored it with Copics.  The snow on the ground is White Glitter Ritz glitter added with Martha Stewart Glittering Glue.  The fur on the Santa cap is Pearl Pen Ice White. The falling snow are bling pearls from Want2Scrap.  The dots on the dino's body are Daffodil Liquid Pearls.  Ribbon is from Michaels.  The blue card base and the lighter blue image are both embossed.  I was given a stack of paper and it included these papers.  I don't know the maker.

Merry Kiss-Mas

Morning Peeps.  It's getting very close to my favorite time of the year.  I  just love Christmas.  I've been making more cards than I'll ever use this year.  When our sponsor for this week at The Crafter's Cafe, Inky Impressions, offered this adorable penguin couple, I jumped at the chance to use it.  I cut it out with my Cameo and colored it with Copics.  The stamp is "Merry Kiss-Mas."  I dry embossed the red panel.  The tag is from Stampin Up and the sentiment is from Sweet 'n Sassy.

The Oulawz Sketch November12

Morning Peeps.  It's time for the sketch at The Outlawz.  Our sponsor for this month is  Deedee's Digis.  There are some fantastic digi sets on that site  Many of them come with several images, sentiments and digi papers.  Why not take a look here.

The sketch:

I used papers that I have had forever.  I am really trying to use up much of the reams of paper I have in my stash before buying any new.   As a result, I no longer remember who the maker of the paper is.  The images were cut using my Silhouette Cameo.  Deedee's image was a precolored one from the set.

Early Christmas Cards

I have been taking an online class using One Sheet Wonder cards for Christmas.  I am really surprised that using the templates (sorry, I can't share them with you) you can get as many as 9 cards from an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper.  Of course, you have to add the card bases and any embellishments.  So one sheet is not really an appropriate name, but it fits the dp.

This was Week 2 and for three days of the week we get a new set of cards to make.  This was from the Week #2 template that used a 12 x 12 sheet.  Following the cuts you can get a minimum of 6 cards and up to 15 cards from the one sheet.  I've had the dp for a long time and decided to cut it up.  This is just one of the cards I made.

It is a very simple CAS card.  I embossed the white layer with a Tim Holtz Alterations folder to give it a little character.   The stamp is from a set I've had for ages, but unfortunately don't have the packaging any more so I don't know who makes it.  I cut the circles with my Cameo.

2014 DS4J Christmas Challenge

This was a relatively easy project this month at DigiStamps4Joy's Christmas challenge.  We were given two tags to work with.  I chose to use this one with the snowflakes.  The sentiment does NOT come with the tag image.  The tags are available in the online store.  You are free to use whatever you have.  I know this is a card challenge, but with tag images, I decided to increase the number of tags I need for Christmas.

Materials used:
Neenah Solar White cardstock
Atyou Spica glitter pens
Stampin Up pleated ribbon
Recollections white ribbon

Here's the watermarked image.

The Outlawz Sketch Challenge Nov. 5

Morning Peeps.  I'm a little late posting this week for the Wednesday Sketch at The Outlawz.  I'm still really suffering with the bronchitis.  I'm into the seventh week now.  Two trips to urgent care, two 10-day series of antiobiotics, one 6-day series of prednisone, a chest x-ray, breathing treatments and what seems like gallons of cough syrup and it is still with me.  Anyway, I digress.  It's a new month and a new sponsor for the sketches.  If you haven't ever checked out Deedee's Digis, now it the time.  She has great images and most of them are in a collection.  The collection contains several digis, sayings and often digi papers.  For this card, I used the Snowman from the Country Christmas collection.

Materials used:
Recollections Christmas collection
Stampin Up Cherry Cobbler
Xpress It white cardstock
Snowman from Deedee's Digis Country Christmas
Copic Markers
Glitter snowflake from my stash
Martha Stewart Snowflake edge punch

Hello Pumpkin DS4J Challenge 103

Hi Peeps!  It's Wednesday and time for the new challenge at DigiStamps4Joy.  It's an easy one this week.  Gloria is hosting and has chosen "Anything Goes" for the theme.  Since we are well into fall and Thanksgiving is rapidly approaching, I decided to go with a very fall/Thanksgiving motif.  I used "3 mielies en 'n pampoen" (3 corns and a pumkin) for my image.  [Google translator is wonderful.]  You can find it in the online store.  Since I am still on my shaped card kick, I went with a double easel fold this week.  I used a piece of orange from my scrap stash and a scrap of Basic Grey Indian Summer.  The sentiment is from Verve Stamps.  I cut the sentiment corners with Stampin Up ticket punch.  The leaves are metallic from a bag I bought at Michaels some years ago.  The pieces that keep the folds from going flat are from Bo Bunny.  Of course, I colored the image with Copics.

Tuesday Throwdown - Shaped Cards

Morning Peeps.  It time for another challenge over at Tuesday Throwdown.  The theme this week is Shaped Cards.   It's going to require a little more effort for some of you and some will have to think out of the box.  There are so many different shapes, other than the usual rectangle, square and circle.  Why not try your hand at a fancy fold card.  You can find a lot of them if you just google fancy fold cards.  Splitcoast Stampers has several too.

In order to put up a tree, you need a tree, right?  So Mr. Mousie went in search of the perfect tree.  I used the digi "Putting up a Tree."  You can find the digi here at our sponsor, Robyn's Fetish, for this challenge.  You can also find lots more cute stamps at the site.

I used a double easel design for my card.  It is not as difficult as it looks.  Google Double Easel Card.  That's what I did.  All I had to do was to follow the pictures and adjust the size as it was in metric.  I just decided how big I wanted my finished card and went from there.

Supplies used:
Bo Bunny 12x12 Winter Joy Snow Angels (I used both sides)
Stampin Up cardstock
Copic markers
Ice White Pearl Pen
Glossy Accents
Silhouette snowflake file
Sweet and Sassy sentiment

DS4J Sunday Release Nov. 2

Hi Peeps!  Lots of new images in the Sunday Release at DS4J today.  Go on over and take a peek.
Then hop on over to the store and stock up on new images.  There were several for the DT to choose from.  I decided to go with "Beach Umbrella" and add an older image - "Pelican Pete."

I used my Cameo to cut the background image and the seashore images.  I colored the images with Copic markers.  It's kind of a summery card, but since DS4J is based in South Africa, it fits their new season.
