The Outlawz Sketch Challenge Oct. 29

Morning Peeps.  Welcome to The Outlawz Sketch Challenge.  I hope you all had a chance to party with the Outlawz last week.  Our sponsor this month is Polka Doodles.  For my card, I chose to use Merry Maison image.

Materials used:
Recollections cardstock
Bo Bunny printed cardstock
Impression Obsession sentiment stamp
Want2scrap bling

I used the print and cut feature on my Cameo to print and cut the image.  Then I colored it with Copic markers.  I also cut the printed background with the Cameo.

I've got a pretty good supply of Christmas cards made already for this year.

I'm going to enter the following challenges with this card:  AG AG Christmas AG Christmas

The Crafter's Cafe - Things With Wings

Hi Peeps!  Another Wednesday has rolled around and it's time for Team B's challenge at The Crafter's Café.  Our Sponsor for this week is QKR.  They have some of the most adorable images.  Hop on over after you leave me a comment and check them out.  I chose Music Angel for my image for this challenge
I had fun with this one and used a conglomeration of companies product to make it.  The base is Recollections white cardstock cut to 5 1/2 x 11 and then folded in half to make a 5 1/2 inch square card.    The background is cut from a file on my Silhouette Cameo.  The music staff die cut is from The Frantic Stamper.  I used American Crafts silver foil for the staff.  The sentiment is the October Christmas Challenge image at DigiStamps4Joy 2015 Christmas Card Challenge.  I used Wink of Stella glitter pens on the majority of the image, along with a little Copic markers for the patches and skin.  Unfortunately, the glitter of the Wink of Stella pens doesn't show in the photo.  In just the right light, it really shimmers. I also used Krylon Gold Leaf Pen to outline the sentiment block.   I used the print and cut feature to cut both the angel and the sentiment block on my Cameo.

It's Party Time at The Outlawz

Come join in the fun at The Outlawz.  There will be games, a scavenger hunt, word search, word scramble and prizes, prizes, prizes.  Tell your friends about it.  Everyone is welcome to attend this party.  Each challenge group will be having their own challenges.  Seven groups, seven challenges in all plus their usual challenge for the day.  Come as you are, no need to get all dressed up.

We have an extra challenge for you this week.  In addition to the regularly scheduled Wednesday sketch challenge (which is in a different post):

there is a special party celebration sketch:
Here is the card I made using this sketch and the image provided by our sponsor for this challenge, DeeDee's Digis.  This wonderful set will be available today.  If you have never used DeeDee's digis, then you are missing out on a whole lot of fun.  Most of her collections have multiple digis - some colored, some for you to color.  A lot of the collections also have matching digi paper for you to print out.  There are also some freebie collections for you to try before you buy.

I used the "Fun & Festive" collection for my card.

There wasn't much for me to do in making this card.  I used the colored cake image, and the digi paper with the diamonds.  I cut the starbursts, image, small stars and banner with my Cameo and added a little bling from Want2Scrap.  The lettering is from a set of 7/16" letters from Making Memories, called Chunky Fiesta.  I have had that set of letters for almost 10 years.  I was surprised they still stuck.  The gold is from Starfoam (at least I think that is the  name of the company).  Again, it has been in my stash for a lot of years.  I have been hoarding it because it was more expensive than I usually pay for a single sheet and I really didn't have anything special to use it on.  This card is for a friend's birthday which we will celebrate tomorrow.

The Outlawz Sketch - October 22

Hi, Peeps!  These Wednesdays seem to roll around quickly.  It's once again time for the sketch challenge over at The Outlawz.  Hurry on over and get some neat inspiration.  Then join in the fun. This sketch was fun to use.  Our sponsor for this month is Polkadoodles.  Check out their site.  There are some really cute digs there.  I used Witch.

The sketch:

My card:

The card base is Stampin Up cardstock.  The other cardstocks are Recollections.  I printed and cut the image with my Silhouette Cameo and colored it with Copics. I also cut the oval shapes with the Cameo. The dp is a digi from Doodle Pantry.  Ribbon is Really Reasonable Ribbon.  The flower is from Recollections.

Kitty Plays Catch

Hi Peeps!  It's time for  the mid-challenge over at DigiStamps4Joy.  Challenge 102 is being hosted by Jackie.  She chose the theme of Animals.  I decided to use a nice fall image for my card, "Kitty Plays Catch" (although, I think "kitty" looks more like a skunk).  It makes a nice Fall card.  You can find "Kitty Plays Catch" here along with a lot of other great digi images.  Why not take a little side trip after you leave me some love and look at all the DS4J images?

For the card base, I cut and folded a 5 1/2 x 11 inch piece of white cardstock to make a 5 1/2 inch square card.  I sponged the edges with Rusty Hinge Distress Ink.  I added a piece of fall leaves paper from my stash for the next layer.  Then I cut a file from Silhouette in brown for the frame.  I printed the image on Neenah solar white cardstock and cut it with the same Silhouette file, only a little smaller.  I used Copic markers to color the image.  Then I sponged a little Broken China and Forest Moss for the sky and grassy area.  The embellishments are from Bo Bunny Fall Dimensional Stickers.

Who Wants A Hug

If it's Tuesday, it must be Tuesday Throwdown challenge time.  I am sooooo happy and excited to be back on the design team after ten months' absence for healing from my knee replacement. It's feels so good to be back in the saddle again. The theme for this challenge is Halloween Color.  That can be black and orange with a little yellow and white thrown in, which are the usual colors we think of for Halloween.   Our sponsor for this challenge, Doodle Pantry, had this adorable Owl, at least I think it's an owl, in non-traditional colors.  Enter new Halloween colors: purple and green.  I just love this little guy.  I chose to use a pre-colored image.  The design paper comes in the file with the owl, along with a few sentiments.    Go over to their site and check it out.  The spider and web are from Miss Kate Cutables.

Sunday Release DS4J Oct. 19

Happy Sunday peeps.  It's Team B's turn to post the Sunday Release at DS4J.  We had some interesting images to work with this week.  I chose to use the Vintage Geek Girl.   You can find the  new images here.

I had made this card base several months ago waiting for just the right image to show up.  I no longer have to push the base from side of my desk to the other.  I used the Silhouette Cameo to cut the double layer background.  I used the print and cut feature to cut the image.  Copics were used to color the image.  The butterflies are cut with a Martha Stewart butterfly punch.  The bling us from Want2Scrap.

Puppy Love

Morning Peeps!  I design for four teams and they all post on either Tuesday or Wednesday.  It keeps me busy on Monday and Tuesday.  :)  My biggest problem is keeping them straight.  This challenge is for The Outlawz.  We are sponsored this month by Polkadoodles.  They have some really cute stamps.  Why not click on the link and see what they have to offer.  Anyway, for this sketch, I used "Puppy Love" from Polkadoodles.

I rummaged through  my stash of pet paper and found this unidentified scrap with paw prints and thought it would make a nice panel.  I used Stampin' Up Chocolate Chip for the center of the panel and flourish.  I have no idea where the paw buttons came from.  I have had them for more years that I'd want to admit to.  I colored the image with Copic markers.  I had a hard time trying to decide if she was wearing a hat or just a flower in her hair.  I decided to go with the hat while other teamies just used a flower.  That's what's so much fun with stamps.  You can interpret them any way you want.  I used the flourish from the Silhouette store.   I have no idea any more what the yellow card base is from.  I guess I should keep track of the manufacturers, but it is not easy for me to do.  I'm too disorganized.

The Crafters Challenge with Isabelle

It's time for my second card at The Crafter's Challenge.   I am on a kick using different shapes for my cards.  This shape is from the Silhouette store called Center Step Card.  Our Sponsor is Rick St. Dennis and the theme is Image With a Hat.

The card base, as I said, is cut with my Cameo on Recollections cardstock using the Center Step Card.  The DP is Recollections Blue Christmas 6x6 paper pad.  The big snowflake in the back is also a Silhouette file, Snowflake Layering Set.  I used American Crafts 12x12 Winter Collection cardstock.  The blue snowflakes on the front are Darice adhesive backed craft foam.  To keep the exposed parts from sticking to the under layers, I put a little baby powder on them.  Or as my friend says, I "destickfied" them.  The little white snowflakes are cut with Cheery Lynn Snowflakes die.  I used the Cameo for Isabella.  First I opened the digi in the program and traced the outline.  Then I added an .0625" offset and cut it out.  I used Copic markers to color her.  The fur on her outfit is Pearl Pen Ice White.

I would love it if you would leave a comment and then go look at the other great DT inspiration.  Then why now make a card with an Image With A Hat and show us your work.  You can win a nice prize.

Sunday Release DS4J October 12

Good Sunday Morning, Peeps.  Glad to see you here.  The new releases at Digistamp4Joy are fantastic this week.  Hop on over to the blog to see the new digis and get some inspiration.  Then go to the online store and get some.  I fell in love with this Mosaic Cross, so I used it for my card this week.  I colored the mosaic part with Copic markers.  The cross was colored with Wink of Stella glitter pens.  Paper is from my stash.  Bling is Want2Scrap.  The leaf flourish is part of a Silhouette file.  I also used the Silhouette Cameo to print and cut the image.  The design started out with sketch that I liked.  However, I can't enter it in the challenge because it morphed into something totally different.  I think the only thing recognizable from the sketch is the paper clip.  LOL!

Simply Create Too Guest Designer - Challenge #72

Hi Peeps.  I am happy and honored to be the guest designer today on Simply Create Too.  Their challenges begin on Fridays every two weeks and end on Thursday night before the new challenge starts.  Their entries can be anything creative, not just cards.  I decided to take a leap and do something other than a card or scrapbook page.  Gasp!  I put my Cameo to work overtime on  this project.  I saw a tissue box cover on another site and it sparked my interest.  I checked out Silhouette and luckily they had a file for a tissue box cover.  So, with the theme of Halloween or Mostly Orange, I looked at all my Silhouette Halloween files and Miss Kate Cuttables files to see what I could come up with.  My end product is a combination of those two company's files (Silhouette - spider web, print 'n cut witch image; Miss Kate - October, spider, cat) and Dearie Dolls - the pre-colored witch image.  The box base is Recollections black cardstock.  I used up a lot of scraps to cut the images.  The print cardstock is from Bo Bunny 6x6 Apple Cider Collection.  Spider's eyes have been in my stash for so long, I have no idea who makes them.

The Outlawz Sketch Challenge October 8

Hi peeps!  Still battling the bronchitis although it is much better.  The cough hangs on forever it seems.  I'm glad you found my again today.  It's time for the Wednesday Sketch Challenge at The Outlawz.   The DT have created some really unique cards for this week.  All you need to do is to follow this sketch.  You can turn it and modify it.  All we need to do is to be able to see the original sketch in you finished project.  Our sponsor for October is PolkaDoodles.  Check them out.  They have some fabulous digis, ranging from cutsey to gorgeous.

My card:

Recollections red and white cardstock
Neenah Solar White Classic Crest cardstock
Copic markers
Martha Stewart snowflake edge punch
Silhouette file for die cut
Snowflakes from dies (cut a long time ago so I don't remember whose they are)
Wink of Stella glitter pen (gold)

DS4J Challenge 101 - Anniversary

Welcome back Peeps.  I hope you are not too worn out from the month-long challenge 100th anniversary celebration to do another project for DS4J.  Wasn't challenge and blog hop fun?   I hope some of you were able to win prizes the various DT were giving.  If so, you can start using them for DS4J projects.  Anyway, time to start on the second 100.

Julie Ann is hosting this challenge with the theme of "Anniversary."  It can be any anniversary - wedding, the day you met your BFF, the date you got your first car, etc.  Use your imagination and come up with something cute.  I'd like to see it on the challenge page.

For my card, I decided to do one that simply says "Happy Anniversary."  You all know by now that I am deeply in love with my Cameo.  I used Lori Whitlock's card base "Lace" for my base.  I cut it with American Crafts cardstock.  The image is from the DigiStamps4Joy online store and is called "Owl Always Love You."  You can find it here.  After you leave me some love, hop on over to the online store and browse through the digis available.  Then when you find one that would fit the challenge, purchase it and enter the challenge.  While you don't have to use a DS4J digi, you have a great chance of winning the design team's pick for $10 worth of digis if you do.

My card:
I popped the image circle with foam tape.  I cut two images using my Cameo  and added some of the same flowers to the two corners inside the card.
Materials used:
American Crafts cardstock
Want2Scrap bling
Copic markers
Scrap of green cardstock
Stormy Sky distress ink
Mark's Finest Papers sentiment stamp (which I cut to fit the space)
Martha Stewart leaf punch

Sunday Release - DS4J - October 5

Morning Peeps!  Happy Sunday.  It's time for the Sunday Release over at DigiStamps4Joy.  Riette drew this Winter Accessories digi for this week.  You can find it and all the other new release digis in the store.  I am still under the weather with the most recent bout with bronchitis, but it is slowly getting better.  With the codeine in the cough syrup the doctor prescribed, I am a little loopy, but I did manage to get up enough energy to make this card.

Recollections white cardstock
Recollections Jolly Holiday printed cardstock
Scraps of pink and green for layers
Copic markers
Snowflakes I had cut some time ago.

DS4J October Christmas Christmas Challenge

This month the Christmas challenge at DS4J is a sentiment.  There were two but I liked this one the best.  I used it for a card for one of my Design Teams, but it won't be made public until toward the end of October.  I saw this fold on another site and decided to try it.  Yes, I'm still on my "different folds" kick.  I used a sheet of 8.5 x 11 paper cut in half lengthwise.  Then I scored it at 5.5 and 2.75.  I first folded it on the 5.5 score line and then in the opposite direction on the 2.75 score line.  I used Anna Griffin 6x6 Emerald Forest for the background.  The die cut is done with a Spellbinders die on American Crafts foil cardstock.  I adhered it only half way onto the short side so that the card will open.  The sentiment is printed on Xpress It cardstock and outlined with a gold leaf pen.  Because the die is done with foil, it was a little difficult to photograph.  It really looks so much better in real life.

For You

Hi Outlawz.  It's Wednesday and here is my card for this challenge.  I'm feeling a little under the weather this week with my annual autumn bout of bronchitis.  It's time for some medication.   I used Geeky from our sponsor for October, Polkadoodles.  Once again, I used the print and cut feature on my Cameo for the image.  The layer under the image is a Silhouette file.  I think the flowers are prima from years ago.

Supplies used:

Stampin Up yellow card stock for card base
Recollections black card stock
Stampin Up Tempting Turquoise card stock
Copic markers
Geeky (image)
Stampin Up die for sentiment
Tuesday Technique sentiment
Flowers from Prima

Kitty With Ornament

Hey Peeps!  This is my first card as a DT member for The Crafter's Café.  I am pleased and  happy to be working with this DT.  Come on over to the challenge blog and join in the fun this week.  There is a new challenge each Wednesday.  The theme for this week is to use a die cut or punch and the sponsor is Limited Runs.  This was the first I had heard of this company.  I checked them out and was pleasantly surprised at all the cute imatges.   My image is die cut with my Cameo.  As usual, I used the print and cut  feature to cut out this adorable kitten.  I chose this image because it looks like Christmas in  my house.  With three furry critters (see their picture at the bottom of my blog) in my house, this is a common site at Christmas time.  I colored Kitty with Copic markers and added some Glossy Accent on his ribbon and nose.  I used gold and red Wink of Stella glitter pens on the ornament.  Then I ran my gold leaf pen around the outside of the image offset.  I also used the Cameo to die cut the card base from Recollections red.  The dp is from Anna Griffin.  Pearls are from Want2Scrap.  Buttons are Crate Paper chipboard and the twine is from WRMK.
