Lady Anne's Christmas Card #2 for January

I colored this adorable penguin from My Grafico while I was limited to being downstairs after surgery.  I needed an image for my second card for Lady Anne's Christmas Card Club and it was just perfect.  I used my new Layer Creator to position the layers.    I used Copic markers to color the image and added some Glossy Accents to her bow, beak and feet.  The sentiment is from Stampendous.  I don't remember where the snowflakes came from.  I just found them in my stash.

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 180, One Layer

The theme for this week's Tuesday Throwdown challenge is one layer.  I find these to be the most difficult to do.  With the great digis supplied to the design team by My Grafico, it was a little easier than most of the ones I have tried to do.  I used the kangaroo and baby with the Mother's sentiment.  I think it would be a good card for Mother's Day.  As I am typing this, I realized I forgot to color in the noses.  I will do that on the original card as soon as I post this.

Materials Used:
My Grafico digis
Stampendous squiggly stamp
SU Garden Green ink
Copic markers
Printed with the Silhouette Cameo
Neenah White Cardstock

DS4J January Christmas Card Challenge

I signed up for 2014 Christmas Challenge at DigiStamps4Joy.  All you need to do is create one Christmas card each month using the image DS4J provides.   If you create a card for the current month, you will automatically receive the next month's digi to make the next card.  I am finally feeling well enough to sit for what time it takes to make a card and get it posted.    Here is my January Card.

Materials Used
Spellbinders die
TH Distress Ink
Copic markers
RRR ribbon
Scraps of dp and cardstock.

Tuesday Throwdown - Wild About You

The sponsor for Tuesday Throwdown for this challenge is Lawn Fawn.  I used "Critters on the Farm" for my card.  Use stripes.

I used Crayola color pencils to color the image.  My stripes paper is from a 6x6 packet I picked up recently, but don't have the name handy.  Because my scrap room is torn up in the process of a remodeling, my Cameo is not available for use so I had to hand cut the images.  It made me love my Cameo even more.

The Outlawz Sketch Challenge 1/

It's been over a month since I was able to create a card.  In the meantime, I have had a total knee replacement of my left knee.  I have spent the past month recuperating and trying to walk first with a walker and now a combination of walker and cane.  I am glad to be able to be back and work on my computer.  I was not able to go upstairs to my craft room until a few days ago.  At this time, stairs are the biggest challenge I face.

This is the sketch for the challenge over at the Outlawz Sketch Challenge for this week.  I used a Mayzy Arts digi, Double Mates Double-sided Color Cardstock, Spellbinders stamp die and Copic markers.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #37

2014 is here.  Hard to believe.  Time for the first Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge for the new year.

The sketch

My card
With Valentine's Day creeping up on us in a month, I decided to do a love card.  It is not just for Valentine's Day, but can be used at any time to express your love for someone.
I used black and red from Tim Holtz Craft Core collection.  After cutting the corners, I embossed them and then sanded them to show the tan core.
