Another New Year Birthday Card

My great, great nephew celebrates his second birthday on New Year's Day.  I did pretty much the same thing for this card as I did for the one yesterday.  I used La La Land Luka Cowboy stamp, Cuttlebug embossing folder.  I rubbed Distress Ink on the folder before I embossed it.  Luka is popped with foam dots.

Thank You - OWH Midweek Throwdown

OWH midweek throwdown was to make a thank you card in honor of Dixie, the shipper who has retired from her position and passed it on to Caro.

Happy Birthday, Theresa

My granddaughter, Theresa, has a birthday on New Year's Eve.  This card is for her, using La La Land Marci.  I used the Cuttlebug Happy Birthday embossing folder and dabbed Tim Holtz Ripe Persimmon Distressing Ink over it.  The image is colored with Copic markers.

OWH #101

I used OWH sketch 101 as the base for this card.  I made it my own though because I wanted to use these papers to make it.

The paper is from Echo Park Splash collection.

House Mouse Valentine

Twas the day after Christmas and my thoughts turned to Valentines Day.  It is too late to send Valentines to OWH, but I have some personal ones to make.  I got this Lovin' Mousefull House Mouse stamp at a garage sale for next to nothing during the summer.  It's time to use it.

I used these Copic markers to color it:

Mice - E30, E43, 110
Hearts - B00,G02, RV02, Y06, YR00
Dish - C1

ODBD December Challenge

For this card, I pulled out some really old Creative memories paper and an image a friend stamped for me some time ago.  The color is a little more subdued than the way it scanned.

Count the Waves

During the summer, I bought several Just Rite Stamps when Scrapbooking Made Simple had them on a close out sale.  I put them away to use at a later date.  Well, that later date came today. I chose this particular one because I am still making love cards for OWH.  I used Copics to color some and a combination of Copics and Bic markers for others.  I used My Mind's Eye for the scallopped ovals and Bazzill for the solid colors.  Scallopped Nesties and plain ovals completed the picture.  The ribbon is satin ribbon from Michael's.

OWH Sketch 100

I wanted to use the snowboarding Luka stamp again from La La Land Stamps so I flip flopped the image to give him room to do his thing.  I used Copics to color the image, a little American Crafts Silver paper in the back.  I embossed the square with Recollections Winter Wonderland powder.  I have had the snowflake paper for so long that I no longer remember the manufacturer.

Snowboarding Luka

I made this Christmas card for my 2 year old great-great nephew.

Fun with Peel Off Stickers and Copic Markers

I have a lot of peel off stickers from Elizabeth Craft Designs.  Today I decided to use some of them and experiment using Copic markers on them.  I used the silver stickers and Copic RV09.  I pulled out a piece of matching cardstock from my stash of scraps too small to use for large cards.  I used an Inkadinkado stamp from the Best Friends set.

My Busy Afternoon

Linda Howard, the card teacher at Scrapbooking Made Simple in Santa Clarita, California, told us to just sit down and make a card from what is on your table.  Well, I decided to take  her up on that idea and spent the afternoon creating cards from what was within my reach without getting up to get something.  The following cards are what I came up with.

Some Basic Grey out of the scrap heap.  A little ribbon from Michael's and a stamp from My Pink Stamper.

Piece of scrap paper, a stamped sentiment that a friend gave me a long time ago and bling from Michael's

Scrap paper from my stash, ribbon from my stash, , background stamped with VersaMark and Martha Stewart background stamp, Twinkling H20's

Scrap papers, SU stamp image, Hero Arts sentiment, Archival Ink pad, baker's twine

Scrap papers, SU image and Hero Arts sentiment, Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad

Now I have to clean up my table and start over again.

OWH #97

Once again, I dug into my scrap box.  I used some Basic Grey, MME and a couple unknown manufacuter's scraps, a Hero Arts stamp and Glaze pens for this card.  It can be a love card, although not a Valentine card.

Thank You

My friend sent me a set of Martha Stewart background stamps as an early Christmas gift.  I used one of the stamps to create the background for this card.  Recollections embossing powder completed the background.  I used the new Sizzix Frame Back #2 for the die cut and a flower made by my local scrap store.  The sentiment stamp is from the dollar bin at Michael's from a couple years ago.

Cards for Archway Challenge with OWH

I submitted these four cards for the Archway Cookie challenge.  I sent 33 cards off.

OWH Sketch #96

This was a really easy card.  I just pulled out my scrap bucket and it all fell into place.  Love, but not specifically Valentine.  It's hard to see the white card background, but it is on a 5.5 by 4.25 card base.

Another Thanksgiving Card

Another Thanksgiving card in a little lighter vein.

I used a Thanksgiving embossing folder for the background and the scalloped Nesties circles.  The stamp is colored with Copics.  Unfortunately I didn't save the packaging for the stamp set.  The leaves are from a package of confetti from Michaels.

Thanksgiving Pumpkins

For this card, I used The Peddler's Pack Pumpkin Bacvkground stamp.  I colored it with Copic Markers and then put Stickles on the pumpkins to make them sparkle.  The stamp is from a set of 4 that I got at Michael's years ago.

A couple more from yesterday

I have had on eye surgery and will have another one later this week.  In the meantime, I have been wanting to make cards.  So, I pulled out a couple stamps and just did some very simple ones.  The stamps are from The Peddlar's Pack.  I sponged Tim Holtz Distress Ink on them.  A stamp and ribbon of unknown origins and they are finished.

OWH #93

This is the card I created for Operation Write Home's sketch  93.
